Well it is true - breakfast is the most important meal of the day as it kick starts your metabolism, stops you pigging out mid-morning and gives you the energy and concentration you need to be a better person (or just to work or train harder!).
Wholemeal granary toasties
Everyone likes a toastie. Well, ours are made using wholemeal granary bread which is low GI so it keeps you full for longer.
Oats and semi-skimmed milk. That’s got to be healthy hasn’t it?! Porridge is low GI as it is packed full of whole grains which slowly release sugar into the blood, providing you with a steady supply of energy to keep you full until lunch. Pimp it up with some fresh fruit.
Low fat yoghurts
Yoghurt is an excellent source of protein, calcium, riboflavin, phosphorous and vitamin B 12! This means it is great for improving your body’s natural defenses and boosting your immune system. We use a low-fat yoghurt so it's even better!
