The Company
Tossed, the healthier eating place, was set up in 2005 with the vision of providing guests with healthy, fresh and satisfying food. Tossed specialises in fresh tossed to order salads and wraps, as well as smoothies, soups and amazing coffee. Most of our food is made fresh in store every morning. We are a fun and lively company that has team outings every month, lots of parties and a good social life outside of work.
The Work
Most of us wake up nice and early, so we can get busy making all the fresh food, although we do have later shifts, for those that like a sleep in! We make over 90% of our products in store, so you will get to learn lots of cool things about food and retail. It’s a lot of fun, and you will be involved in various tasks including making salads to order, preparing fresh juices and smoothies, and generally giving our guests a bit of happiness in their busy days. Once the rush is over, we clean up and head home (or to the pub!) to get our beauty sleep.
Team Members/Tossers
We have a variety of full time and part time shifts available. Team member starting salary once fully trained (usually within a month) is £6.75 including MG bonus.
We give all of our team a free lunch or dinner, and a 50% discount, even if you aren’t working that day.
We have an excellent training program, not all of which is about food, and love to help our team become the best that they can be. In fact, the majority of our Team Leaders and Store Managers began working as Team Members. So if you are keen to progress, then we are keen to help!

Team Leaders
You will assist the manager in all aspects of the store, with responsibilities including ordering, stock control, team training, cash management and supervising shifts. You will be involved in engaging in and managing all front of house and back of house duties. We are a fast growing company and there are lots of opportunities for development into management for the right people.

Managers
As a store manager you will run all aspects of your food retail operation. We expect managers to be hands-on team players who are customer, quality and profit driven. You must be fun and happy with a zest for life. Experience in Outlook, Excel and Word is necessary. You need to have a minimum of one year’s management experience in food retail. We have an excellent training program (not all of which is about food!) and we love to help our team become the best that they can be. In fact, many of our Team Leaders and Store Managers began working as Team Members.
